Some products, similar to the Key Kop, use lighter, smaller cable, with no protection for the nylon coating. They also have bodies made of plastic or zinc die castings. Other products offer only one type of lock. By offering different styles, the Key Kop may be provided with a lock matching the level of security desired. Key Kops may be keyed differently, keyed alike or keyed in groups to your order.

Key Kop 1 - Cable The cable style is a 7 over 7 stainless steel aircraft cable, nylon coated, and then covered with a stainless steel cover to offer protection from abrasion and to minimize kinking of the cable. One end unlocks, while the other end is captive, preventing keys being dumped while being serviced. Cable terminals are recessed within the body to minimize break points. The bodies are machined from solid aircraft grade aluminum bar, and are covered by colored polyurethane boots, available in various colors, to enable a way to code groups of keys to specific functions, and offers some protection for the body of the unit. Available with a choice of locks and in several lengths. Note: Part numbers are decoded as follows:

Key Kop 2 - Shackle The shackle style uses a 5/32nd" Stainless Steel rod formed into a 4" circle, 2-1/2" circle or into loops that are 1-1/2", 3", 5" long and 1-1/4" wide. The shackle withdraws completely from the body, so keys may be removed from either end. Shackles are interchangeable and shackles may be bought separately for maximum flexibility in arranging sets to order. The bodies are machined from solid aircraft grade aluminum bar, and are covered by colored polyurethane boots, available in various colors, to enable a way to code groups of keys to specific functions, and offers some protection for the body of the unit. LOCKS Below are the locks that are available for the Key Kop locking key rings. No other locking key ring offers a greater selection of locks from which to choose. Our solid metal housing offers greater security than plastic bodied units.
Key Kops may be ordered keyed differently, keyed alike in groups, or keyed alike. Keep in mind that keys are sold separately.

BELT CLIPS These strong welded, powder coated steel clips require a positive unlocking action to remove the key ring from operators belt. The operator's belt is passed through the clip. 2 1/2" belt loop is large enough to fit most utility belts. No accidental loss of rings that have slipped from a regular clip.
