This rugged, time-tested device has once again found its place in access control for restrooms. The lock may be made to accept nickels, dimes or quarters, or one of a number of tokens. Not always to generate revenue, but, by use of tokens, to control who is entering your facility.

Please complete all information on the order form or your order will not be processed.

When completing the order form please pay close attention to the single or multi-use area.

NOTE: Multi-use units are meant for doors were multiple users enter at the same time (such as the entrance door on a bathroom with multiple stalls or toilets).

For areas that only have one user at a time going through the door(such as a stall door), please check the "Single use box". This is one of the largest issues when ordering a UCL

CONTROL IS THE ISSUE
You may not want to create a Pay Toilet, but controlling who has access can be important. CONSIDER USING TOKENS. This allows you or your employees to have a face-to-face contact with whoever is using your facilities. Restrict access to customers, or just have some idea of who is using your restrooms. No keys to pass out and retrieve, and the facilities remained locked. These units have been great for other doors and gates to restrict access and provide security.

Ideal for:
Campgrounds, service stations, airports, theaters, laundromats, parks, and any place where access must be controlled.

Use on Restroom or Shower Doors:
Promote Cleaner Facilities
Offer Customers Added Security
May Be Coin or Token Operated / or Both
Generate Revenues
Available For Many Foreign Coins
More ADA Compliant Door Handle

In operation:
The user inserts the appropriate coin/token in the entry slot at the top. The customer turns the handle and enters the facilities and the door will latch as it closes. The lock will accept no further coin, and will display "IN USE" in the window. When the customer exits the facility, the inner door handle opens the door, and the door re-latches on closing. The display will show "VACANT", ready for the next patron, requiring another coin before it can be opened again.

Also available for Multi-user. If used on an outer restroom door, the patron places a coin or token in the slot and they enter. BUT another patron may also put a token in and be admitted. Please check the appropriate block on the order form
For access by an attendant for cleaning or other purposes, the lock may be opened by using the appropriate key in the lock in the handle. Collections are made by unlocking the lower door with a completely different key.
The lock is black powder coated with plated door handles and stainless steel coin box, and constructed of quality die cast, brass, and steel materials. Please examine information on mounting style so the proper hand and strikes may be furnished.

Universal Coin Lock Installation

1) Attach Strike (keeper) to door jamb. NOTE: Keeper supplied is dependent on style of mounting based on information furnished to questions above.
2) Place door on lock as close as possible to the Strike. Back plate may be used as a template to mark hole locations. It is IMPORTANT that the exposure between the Strike and Lock be kept to a minimum, yet allow the door to swing away easily with no interference.
3) Drill ¾" hole for inside handle stem through door. Hole must be straight so that inside handle operates freely. Drill clearance holes for the escutcheon screws thru the door.
4) Attach the aluminum back plate to the door with the appropriate screws. Insure that the ½" hole in the plate is centered over the hole in the door, and the two screw holes for the escutcheon align, and the two tabs are at the top.
5) Attach the escutcheon plate and inside handle. Make sure that it turns freely.
6) Attach the coin lock by engaging the top tabs into the slots inside the housing, and swinging it down and into place. It may be necessary to rock the inside handle slightly until the tab engages the release inside the lock.
7) Test lock with appropriate coin or token.

NOTE: - Never lubricate with oils, or WD40 products. Use only flake graphite or silicon spray.
Jams may be cleared by slipping a thin flat steel (dull hacksaw blade for example) pressing the jam through.
The lock is hand fabricated, so lead times may be up to six weeks, and the specialized nature of the product is such that all orders must be paid at time of order.
